FREE CREDIT REPORT

It is highly recommended, but not mandatory, that you obtain a credit report to aid in gathering all your creditors when providing us with the information necessary to file your bankruptcy. The official website to obtain a FREE credit report from all 3 major credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, is https://www.annualcreditreport.com. This website provides consumers with the secure means to request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act). It is important to note that not all creditors report to a credit reporting agency, and therefore, you may owe creditors for debts that you do not see on your credit report, and you must not forget to list those creditors as well.

FREE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COURSE
(for Chapter 13 clients whose bankruptcy Trustee is Russell C. Simon only)

Each person who files for bankruptcy must take a credit counseling course before your bankruptcy case can be filed with the Court (we assist you in completing this requirement), AND each person must take a financial management course after the bankruptcy has been filed but before the bankruptcy has been completed and closed. If, and only if, you have filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy and your Trustee is Russell C. Simon, then he offers a FREE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COURSE. This course is generally held one Saturday per month for approximately 2 hours—you only need to attend one Saturday. Follow this link, https://www.simonch13trustee.com/forms/PFMCLasses14.pdf, to the website with a list of upcoming dates, times and location for the class.

For current or prospective clients who have filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy or a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in which Mr. Simon is not the Trustee, you will receive the information to attend this class by telephone or internet for a small fee (approx. $60.00) at your signing appointment and can be found in the folder provided to you at that time.
